We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and the site currently meets it. If something here does not work for you, we want to hear about it.
Last updated 1 August 2026Where we stand
Beyond targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and the public pages currently meet it. This is checked automatically on every change rather than audited once:
- Every piece of text on every page is measured against the background it actually sits on, at the contrast ratio required for its size and weight.
- The site is operable by keyboard alone: a skip link, a visible focus indicator everywhere, and a mobile menu that traps focus, closes on Escape and returns focus to the control that opened it.
- Form fields are labelled, errors are announced and associated with their field, and focus moves to the first problem when a submission is rejected.
- Motion respects
prefers-reduced-motion: animated counters and reveals render settled rather than moving. - Every image carries alternative text.
Known limitations
The focus indicator meets AA (2.4.7) but not the AAA criterion (2.4.13): the design system has no rings or boxes, so focus is shown as a heavier rule in the same ink.
Helvetica Neue is a system font. On platforms without it the type falls back to Helvetica or Arial, which changes the look but not the legibility.
